Obituary

Flora M. Yount Kurnava age 82, of Indiana, (Edgewood), died Thursday September 5, 2013 at Communities of Indian Haven. She was born in White Twp. in 1931 to Willmor Clark and Ellen O'Shell Lute Shultz. Mrs. Kurnava was a homemaker and had also worked for Season-ALL Industries, Hills Dept. Store, and as an insurance adjuster and investigator for Hooper Holmes. She enjoyed gardening, canning, baking, and cooking. Flora is survived by one daughter and five sons, Christine Muir, Cherry Tree; Eugene Yount, Jr., Leechburg; John Yount and wife Brenda, Lower Burrell; Raymond Yount and wife Ellen Marie, Rochester Mills; Garry Yount, Homer City; David Yount and wife DeAnna, Indiana; 12 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, one great great granddaughter; two brothers, James Myers, Pequea; David Shultz, Montgomery, AL. She was preceded in death by her parents, by her first husband Eugene Yount, by her second husband Jospeh Kurnava, by her son-in-law Robert Muir, and by one brother and one sister, Howard Bruckhart and Marian "Pandora" Holtzworth. Friends will be received on Saturday from 4 to 6 P.M. at the Bowser-Minich Funeral Home, Indiana, where a funeral service will begin at 6 P.M. with the Rev. Tom Spiker officiating. Private burial will be made in the Greenwood Cemetery, Indiana. Memorial contributions may be made to Communities of Indian Haven 1675 Saltsburg Ave., Indiana, PA 15701; or to VNA Hospice, 850 Hospital Rd., Suite 3000, Indiana, PA 15701.
