F. Elaine Stiteler's Obituary

F. Elaine Stiteler, age 94, formerly of Indiana, died on Saturday, November 15, 2014 in Wilmington, DE. She was born in 1920 in Marienville, PA to Stacy M. and Genevieve M. McQuillan Carter. Elaine was a member of St. Bernard of Clairvaux Roman Catholic Church, Indiana. She resided in Indiana for 32 years before moving to Wilmington in 2011 to be close to family. She was a homemaker and worked as an independent bookkeeper for various businesses in Springfield, PA. Elaine was a graduate of the Keystone Business School in Swarthmore, PA. She enjoyed reading, cooking, and traveling with her husband Bill. Surviving are one daughter and five sons - Mary L. Wick and husband Paul, Wilmington, DE; William M. Stiteler, III and wife Jeannette, Tully, NY; Richard L. Stiteler and wife Thavone, Tempe, AZ; John A. Stiteler, Wilmington, DE; Daniel B. Stiteler and wife Lynn, Wilmington, DE; Geoffrey W. Stiteler, and wife Mayumi, Honolulu, HI; eleven grandchildren, fourteen great- grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Elaine was preceded in death by her parents, by her husband William M. Stiteler, Jr. in 2011, and by the following siblings, Martina Campbell, Bernard Carter, Grace McMichael, Audrey Huggler, Paul Carter, Donald Carter, and infant brother Richard Carter. Friends will be received on Saturday, November 22, from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at the Bowser-Minich Funeral Home, Indiana. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday at 11 a.m. at St. Bernard of Clairvaux Roman Catholic Church, Indiana. Entombment will be made in St. Bernard Mausoleum.
