Evelyn C. Huey's Obituary

Evelyn C. (Manges) Huey, age 97, of Aultman, died Tuesday, February 15, 2011 at Beacon Ridge Nursing Center. She was born in 1913 in Ligoner, to George and Ellen Stouffer Manges. Mrs. Huey was a member of the Jacksonville Presbyterian Church and the Women's Missionary Society. She was a wife, mother, and housewife, having resided in Aultman since 1942. Evelyn is survived by three daughters and three sons, Iris Pearce and husband David, Philipsburg; Mary Bushman and husband James, Dover; Kathryn Ann Huey, Aultman; Allen L. Huey and wife Jean, St. Mary's City, MD; Edward Huey and wife Marjorie Yarnick Huey, Indiana; Ronald E. Huey and wife Dawn, Niagra Falls, NY; 21 grandchildren; 38 great grandchildren; and five great great grandchildren; by one sister Minnie Ellen Stiver, Bradford; and by four sister-in-laws, Eleanor Manges, Germany; Verna Huey, Denver, CO; Violet Huey, Baden, and Bonnie Huey, Punxsutawney. She was preceded in death by her parents, by her husband Charles Huey whom she married in 1934, by her daughter Bertha Norgate, by her great grandson Gavin Pearce, by her daughter-in-law Joanne Huey, by a grand daughter-in-law Tracy Yarnick, by three brothers and one sister, F.K. Manges, S.A. Manges, George Manges, and Anna Mae Hurd. Friends will be received on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. at the Bowser-Minich Funeral Home, Indiana, where a funeral service will be held Friday at 1 P.M. with the Rev. Susan Porch Lantz officiating. Private interment will be made in the Burnside Cemetery.
