Obituary

Eugene "Gene" F. Hilty, 82, of Indiana, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, November 17, 2012 at his home. He was born in 1930 to Harry C. and Rebecca (Stiffler) Hilty in Indiana. Gene was a member of the Indiana Eagles 1492, Indiana Moose Lodge, He was retired from Country Manor Furniture as a warehouse manager. Gene enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, watching NASCAR, and was a H.A.M. radio operator. He especially enjoyed camping and spending time at Silver Canoe Campground. He was a Veteran of the Korean Conflict serving in the United States Navy. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Gladys D. Hilty, Indiana; two daughters and a son, Linda McBryar Feulmer and husband Jerry, Kittanning; Rick Hilty and fianc Sherry Dellaposta, Lucernemines; Robin Orr and husband Mark, Indiana; eight grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren, two sisters, Kathryn Quinn, FL; Annabell Marcoaldi and husband Anthony, Indiana; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Dorothy Moody and Audrey Harper, two brothers Calvin and Oren. Friends will be received on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Bowser-Minich Funeral Home, Indiana. A funeral service will take place at 11:00 AM on Wednesday at the Bowser-Minich Funeral Home, Indiana. A graveside service will take place in Oakland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Indiana County VNA/Hospice or to the donors choice.
