Elva J. Zajec, 98, of Homer City, passed away on July 21, 2025.

Born September 8, 1926, Elva was the daughter of the late Frank and Josephine (Pernisek) Zajec.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters Dorothy Breznican and Ann Stoklosa, and her brother Frank Zajec.

Elva is survived by numerous nieces and nephews: Robert (Laura) Breznican, Frank, Cynthia, and David Zajec, Patricia (Bernard) Maudie, Carol Quattro, Robert (Lisa) Stoklosa, and Kenneth (Peggy) Stoklosa.

She was a member of Our Lady of the Assumption Church in Lucernemines and the SNPJ and KSKJ lodges. Prior to retiring she owned a beauty salon in Homer City with her sister Dorothy that they began in 1963.

Friends and family are welcomed to attend a Memorial Mass on Saturday, July 26, 2025, at 10 AM in Our Lady of the Assumption Church, Lucernemines, with Father John Pavlik, OFM, Cap, as celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Bernard Cemetery, Indiana
