Ellen Coy's Obituary

Ellen Coy, age 99, formerly of Marion Center, died on Monday, December 22, 2014 at the Indiana Regional Medical Center. She was born in 1915 in Dubois to Jordie and Elizabeth Redicliff Calvert. Mrs. Coy was a member of the Hilltop Baptist Church. She loved cooking and sharing with her friends at Clairvaux Commons. Her specialty was peanut butter fudge. Ellen is survived by two sons and two daughters - Lois Jean Bell, Elgin, TX; Nancy Oberlin and husband Richard, Marion Center; Robert Coy and wife Jo-Ann, Indiana; Norman R. and wife Nancy, Goose Creek, SC; 13 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; 5 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, by her husband Norman C. Coy in 1992, by one grandson Bobbie Bell, son-in-law Robert Bell, sister Doris Gallo, and brother Robert Calvert. Friends will be received on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. at the Bowser-Minich Funeral Home, Indiana, where a funeral service will be held Saturday at 11 A.M. with the Pastor Jack Lucas officiating. Private interment will be made in the Greenwood Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the VNA, 850 Hospital Rd., Suite 3000, Indiana, PA 15701.
