Obituary

Elaine O. Rittenhouse, 84, of Indiana, passed away Monday May 5, 2014 at her home. She was born in 1929 to Edward B. and Marguerite L. (Shaffer) Oakman in Mt. Union. Elaine was a member of Grace United Methodist Church. She is survived by two daughters, Teresa L. Rittenhouse, Indiana; Leslie R. DiMaio and husband John, Rural Valley; and a son Edward P. Rittenhouse, San Francisco, CA; three grandchildren, Sarah, Jacob and Aaron DiMaio, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Lester C. Rittenhouse in 2008. Funeral arrangements are private and have been entrusted to the Bowser-Minich Funeral Home. Memorial donations may be made to the Grace United Methodist Church, 712 Church St., Indiana, PA 15701; or the American Red Cross, 610 Kolter Drive, Indiana, PA 15701; or the Indiana County VNA/Hospice, 850 Hospital Road, Suite 3000, Indiana, PA 15701.
