Obituary

Edward S. Setlock, age 68, of McIntyre, died Saturday, October 6, 2012 in McIntrye. He was born in 1944 in Indiana to Edward S. and Mary Catherine Rotosky Setlock. Ed was a member of the Church of the Good Shepherd, Kent; the Knights of Columbus Fr. McNeilus Lodge 1481, Indiana, PSEA, PA Assoc. of School Retirees, NEA, CandY Sportsman Club, and a social member of the Homer City American Legion. He was presently a board member of the Indiana Co. Transit Authority. Ed was also involved in the creation of the McIntyre Veterans Memorial. He was employed as a History teacher for Apollo-Ridge High School for 30 years, where he also coached and was the Athletic Director. Ed was also involved with Young Twp Little League and Senior Legion. He was an avid sports fan with unbelievable knowledge of sports history in Indiana County. Ed loved to travel extensively visiting Germany 9 times, attended the Los Angeles Olympics, numerous Penn State Bowl games, and 2 Steeler SuperBowls. Ed is survived by one sister, Sister Eric Marie ""Marcella Setlock, McIntyre and Cresson; his brother-in-law George Jerto, Glastonbury, Conn; two aunts, Rose Rotosky and Jean Rotosky, both of Indiana. He was preceded in death by his parents, and by his sister Cassie Jerto. Friends will be received on Tuesday from 1 to 5 and 6 to 9 P.M. at the Bowser-Minich Funeral Home, Indiana. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday at 11 A.M. at the Church of the Good Shepherd, Kent, with the Rev. Fr. Charles Esposito the celebrant. Interment will be made in the Iselin Union Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Apollo-Ridge School District, Edward S. Setlock Scholarship Fund,
