Edward Harrison Grove's Obituary

Edward Harrison Grove, age 79, of Indiana, died Thursday, January 27, 2011 at the Indiana Regional Medical Center. He was born in 1931 in Indiana to Howard W. and Gertrude M. Mauk Grove. Mr. Grove was a member of the American Legion, Indiana. A veteran of the Korean War, he served in the US Air Force as an airplane mechanic. He was employed by the Bell Telephone Co. for 35 years as a cable splicer, working in the Indiana area and retired from Corpus Cristi, TX. Edward is survived by two daughters and four sons, Terri Grove-Pyle and husband Steve, Harleysville; Scott and wife JoAnne, Rock Springs, WY; Jeff and wife Pam, Creekside; Sam, Reston, VA; Bruce and wife Trina, San Diego, CA; Bambi Dee Grove, San Diego, CA; nine grandchildren, Steve and Lara Pyle, Adam and wife Megan, Alicia, Jeremy, Chelsea, Alex, Jake, and Lillie Grove. He was preceded in death by his parents, and by his sister Jean Jones. Friends will be received on Saturday from 7 to 9 P.M. at the Bowser-Minich Funeral Home, Indiana, where a funeral service will be held Sunday at 1:30 P.M. with the Rev. Brian Miller officiating. Private interment will be made in the Greenwood Cemetery. Military honors will be provided by the VFW Post #1989 at the funeral home.
