Edward D. Fleming Jr.'s Obituary

Edward Dale Fleming, Jr., age 72, of Creekside, died Wednesday, February 16, 2011 at his home. He was born in 1938 in Indiana, to Dale and Mazie Spencer Fleming. Ed was a member of the Plumcreek United Presbyterian Church, an avid hunter and lifetime member of the Shelocta Sportsman Club, the Keystone Sportsman Club, the UMWA #1412, and a lifetime member and former Fire Chief of the Creekside Volunteer Fire Co. He was employed as a truck driver for Lawton's Feed and Supply, and as a coal miner for the R and P Coal until his retirement. Edward is survived by his wife Mary Louise Yeomans Fleming, Creekside; two sons and one daughter, Daniel E. ands wife Michelle, Ernest; David Lee and wife Karen, Shelocta; Cindy K. Fleming and companion James Lamer, Johnstown; nine grandchildren, Daniel Fleming, II, Sara Fleming, Brian Schrecengost, Michael Schrecengost, Steven Schrecengost, Aaron McAfoos, Amanda Boyle, Adam McAfoos, and Ashley McAfoos; and nine great grandchildren. He is also survived by two brothers and one sister, Jack and wife Dorothy Fleming, Shelocta; Russel and wife Georgia Fleming, Shelocta; Jeanine Fedor and husband Joseph, Indiana. He was preceded in death by his parents, and by two brothers, Thomas and Gary. Friends will be received on Friday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 P.M. at the Bowser-Minich Funeral Home, Indiana, where a funeral service will be held Saturday at 11 A.M. with the Rev. Darla Ravennaugh officiating. Interment will be made in the Greenwood Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Plumcreek United Presbyterian Church or the Creekside Volunteer Fire Co., Creekside, PA 15732.
