Obituary

Edna Parks, age 91, of Creekside, died Saturday, December 22, 2012 at Rose Haven Personal Care Home. She was born in 1921 in Glen Campbell, to Daniel M. and Mary Marks States. Mrs. Parks was a member of Harmony Grove Lutheran Church. She was a homemaker, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Edna is survived by one son and one daughter, Carl L., Jr. and wife Margaret, Masury, OH; Patricia Brandon, Creekside; five grandchildren, Stacy Brandon, Todd Brandon, Dawn Johnston and husband Barry, Kevin Parks and wife Cindy, Cathleen Okunlola and husband Azeez; eight great grandchildren, Devin, Dylan, Abby, Michael, Marc, Justin, Ayo, Lewa; three brothers and two sisters, Lynn States and wife Carol, Merle States and wife Jeanne, David States and wife Joyce, Geneva Williams, Jean Fulton. She was preceded in death by her parents, by her husband Carl L. Parks, Sr., in 1995, and by three brothers and one sister, Charles, William, and James States, and Mildred Thayer. Friends will be received on Wednesday from 2 to 5 P.M. at the Bowser-Minich Funeral Home, Indiana, where a funeral service will begin at 5 P.M. with the Rev. David Wasemann officiating. Interment will be made in the Atwood Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Harmony Grove Lutheran Church, 6584 Five Points Rd., Creekside, PA 15732.
