E. Steve Sirochman's Obituary

Eugene "Steve" Sirochman, age 57, of Home, passed away Thursday, December 11, 2014 at his home. He was born in 1957 in Kittanning, to John and Mary C. Blazavich Sirochman. Steve was a member of St. Jude Thaddeus Byzantine Catholic Church, Ernest, the Sagamore VFW, and the Punxsutawney LOOM. He was employed by Penn Mechanical Group as a truck driver, and was previously employed for SW Jack, Dayton Oil, and Toy Pipeline Co. Steve enjoyed hunting, fishing, NASCAR, Steelers, Pirates, and spending time with his family and mans best friend Brody. Steve is survived by his wife of 36 years, Shirley J. Hughes Sirochman, Home; one daughter and two sons, Donna J. Hill and husband Elmer, Plumville; Steven R. and wife Ashley, Brick Church; Keith E. and wife Casey, Uniontown; six grandchildren, Kyle, Kayla, and Carson Hill, Tyler and Natalie Sirochman, Brady Sirochman; six brothers and one sister, J. Rick Sirochman, Sagamore; Ron Sirochman and wife Kathy, Dayton; Ed Sirochman, Punsxutawney; Joe Kotak and wife Jennie, Spearfish, SD; Paul Kotak, Smicksburg; John Kotak and wife Geri, Tonawanda, NY; Irene Gyms and husband Paul, Home; his mother-in-law Doris Hughes, North East; sister-in-law LouAnn Gilkinson and husband Randy, North East; four brother-in-laws, Richard Hughes and wife Dawn, Punxsutawney; Bryan Hughes and finace' Toni, Erie; Donald Hughes and wife Rusty, North East; Raymond Wagner, Belfast, NY; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Betty Kotak Wagner, father-in-law Richard Hughes, sister-in-law Pat Kotak. Friends will be received on Saturday from 5 to 7 P.M. and on Sunday from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 P.M. at the Bowser-Minich Funeral Home, Indiana, where a prayer service will be held at 1:30 P.M. A funeral liturgy will be held on Monday at 11 A.M. at St. Jude Thaddeus Byzantine Catholic Church, Ernest, with the Rev. Fr. William Lascelles the celebrant. Interment will be made in St. Mary's Byzantine Catholic Cemetery, Sagamore. Memorial contributions may be made to the Richard G. Laube Cancer Center, one Nolte Dr., Kittanning, PA 16201.
