Dorothy M. Moody's Obituary

Dorothy M. Moody, age 88, of Indiana, died Wednesday, September 15, 2010 at her home. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends. She was born in 1922 in Indiana, to Harry and Rebecca Hilty. Mrs. Moody was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church and Mary's Circle Women's Group. She was a resident of Detroit MI from 1965 to 1993 where she worked at Kresge Dept. Store and also for a short time at Campus Sportswear in Indiana. She enjoyed Bingo, bowling, sewing, embroidering, and crocheting. Dorothy is survived by two sons and two daughters, Thomas C. and wife Lorraine, Indiana; Harold E. and wife Mitzi, Ocala, FL; Mary Kathryn Miconi, Redford, MI; Barbara J. Allison and husband Andrew, Algonic, MI; 10 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; by two sisters and one brother, Kathryn Quinn, Tampa, FL; Eugene Hilty and wife Gladys, Indiana; Annabell Marcoldi and husband Anthony, Indiana; and by numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, by her husband Thomas W. Moody in 1980, by her daughter-in-law, Leanne K. Moody in 2003, and by two brothers and one sister, Oren and Calvin Hilty, and Audrey Harper. Friends will be received on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. at the Bowser-Minich Funeral Home, Indiana, where a funeral service will be held Saturday at 11 A.M. with Pastor Dennis Marshall officiating. Interment will be made in the Oakland Cemetery. Flowers will be appreciated and memorial contributions may be made to the Food Bank at Grace United Methodist Church, Church and Seventh St., Indiana, PA 15701.
