Dorothy D. Jacobs, 87, of Indiana, passed peacefully on Saturday, May 31, 2025, at St. Andrews Village, Indiana. She was born in New Haven, Connecticut, on November 3, 1937, to the late Joseph Stanley and Estelle Catherine (Zalotkowski) Deptula.

Dorothy spent her career as an accounting secretary for numerous businesses, her memberships include the Church of the Resurrection, Ernest site, TODD bird club, the Westmoreland Bird Club. She enjoyed Polish Folk Dancing, at one point teaching it, playing the piano and gardening.

Surviving Dorothy are her children, Joseph N. Jacobs III, of Westerville, OH; Carolyn (James) McCully, of Smicksburg, son Andrew P. (Melissa) Jacobs of Arlington, MA; Allison D. Jacobs, of Indiana; grandchildren Kieren and Madison McCully, and Samantha Paige and Jessica Elise Jacobs, as well as siblings; Carol Rubino, of Toronto, Canada; and Joseph S. Deptula of West Haven, CT.

Besides her parents, Dorothy is preceded in death by her husband Joseph Jacobs, Jr., a brother William Deptula and a sister Thea Oren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in the Church of the Resurrection, Ernest site, and announced at a later date. Burial will be in St. Michaels Cemetery, Hudson MA, at the convenience of the family.
