Obituary

Dorothy A. Hicks, age 84, of Indiana, died Friday, July 15, 2011 at Scenery Hill Manor. She was born in 1926 in Indiana, to Calvin and Annie Broad Earhart. Mrs. Hicks was a homemaker having resided in Indiana her entire life. She enjoyed reading, flower gardening, and cats. Dorothy is survived by two nephews, Clifford Hamil and his wife Dixie, Templeton; Edward Hamil and wife Alena, Hornsby, TN. She was preceded in death by her parents, by her husband Herschel T. Hicks in 1993, by two sisters Beatrice Hamil and Gladys Tillett, and by four brothers George, Edward, Fred, and David Tillett. Friends will be received on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. at the Bowser-Minich Funeral Home, Indiana, where a funeral service will be held Tuesday at 11 A.M. with the Rev. Fr. William Kiel officiating. Interment will be made in the Oakland Cemetery.
