Obituary

Obituary for Dorothy I. Cherry Dorothy I. Cherry, 85, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, Saturday, May 21, 2011. She was born in 1925 to Harry E. and Edna Z. (Wills) Duey in Tyrone. Dorothy was an active member of Calvary Baptist Church in Clymer. She was a member of the Senior Saints at her place of worship. Dorothy enjoyed being a homemaker, raising her family, being a grandmother, helping her friends, and personal Bible Study Class at Crystal Waters Nursing Home. She was a very caring and loving person and a perfect example of a true Christian in all that she did. She is survived by two daughters and a son, Linda L. Hoffman, and husband Melvyn, Denver PA; William L. Cherry, White Hall; Patty A. Etchison and husband Eldon, Punxsutawney; 4 grandchildren, Jerry Hoffman, Timothy Etchison, Mindy Ingham, Matthew Etchison. 7 great grandchildren, two sisters, Dolores Dihrberg, Norman OK; Edna Marie Buck, Muncy, PA; and a brother Harry (Bud) Duey, Tyrone; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Andrew Dale Cherry, June 26, 1999, a sister Carol Hampton and a grandson Nathan A. Etchison. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 4-7 PM with a funeral service at 7:00PM at the Bowser-Minich Funeral Home, Indiana with the Rev. Dr. Daryl S. Jeffers officiating. Graveside services will be held on Thursday at 11:00 AM at the Charlottsville Cemetery, Tipton. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice. www.bowserminich.com
