Doris I. McCoy Huller, age 70 of Newport News, VA, died Thursday, December 15, 2016 at the Norfolk Sentara Heart Hospital, Norfolk, VA.

She was born in 1946 in Punxsutawney , PA to William E. and Aletha White McCoy.

Doris attended St. Jerome Catholic Church of Newport News, Va., She was a member of the American legion post 368. She was self-employed as a daycare provider and educator for 35 years at her home in Newport News . Her love of children and life made her a terrific wife and mother. She loved each of the children she taught during her 35 + years as an educator as if they were her own.

Surviving her is her husband of 50 years, Charles E. Huller of Newport News, Va., her Son Charles Edward Huller and his wife Janice and their son Rocky; and her daughter Jean Marie Huller Vassar and her husband Dwayne and their four children Christopher Daniel, Aletha Mae, Lynnette Marie and Dwayne Tyrone Jr. and by the following siblings, Janice McCoy Brilhart ; Mary McCoy Kinter and her husband Dennis; Kenneth McCoy and his wife Kim; Richard McCoy and his wife Carol; David McCoy and his wife Nina , Donna McCoy Trudgen and her husband Randal , Donald McCoy, Diane McCoy Gould and husband Thomas. She is also survived by six aunts and one uncle; and 17 nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and three brothers, William E. Jr., in 1984, Robert E. in 1989, and by an infant brother Michael.

Friends and Family will be received on Thursday, December 22, 2016 from 6 to 8 P.M. at the Bowser-Minich Funeral Home, Indiana, PA, where a funeral service will be held Friday, December 23, at 10 A.M. with the Rev. Fr. Anthony Klimko officiating. Interment will be made in the Sacred Heart Cemetery, Sagamore, PA.
