Dora Marie (Overdorff) Murdick, 88 of Penn Run, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 26, 2024, in Heritage Grove, Indiana. Born on October 25, 1935, in Brush Valley, she was the daughter of the late Jacob and Bertha (George) Overdorff.

Dora worked for over 40 years as the Recorder of Deeds for Indiana County. She was a member of the former Brush Valley Lutheran Church and a current member of the Hope Lutheran Church. She loved to visit places, stay busy, and go out to eat ending most meals in her favorite desert, banana splits.

Dora is survived by her son Gary (Vicky) Murdick, of Homer City, six grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and one great-great grandson.

In addition to her parents, Dora was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Murdick, a son Dennis "Denny" Murdick, a granddaughter Melisssa Murdick, one brother Wilmer Overdorff, and sisters Grace Brendlinger and Sarah Craig.

Friends will be received on Wednesday, July 31, 2024, from 3:00 PM until the time of service at 6:00 PM in the Bowser-Minich Funeral Home, Indiana, with Reverend Arlene Schweitzer, officiating. Private burial will be held in Brush Valley Lutheran Cemetery, Brush Valley.
