Obituary

Donna Jean Young, age 75, of Indiana, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 21, 2012 at Indiana Regional Medical Center. She was born in 1936 in Indiana to Gerald and Grace Smeltzer Donna was a convert to the Catholic Faith and embraced her faith completely as a member of St. Bernard of Clairvaux R.C. Church. She was a licensed insurance agent having worked for the Hennig Insurance Agency, the Mechling Insurance Agency, and H. Schall Insurance Agency, all in Indiana. Donna is survived by her son-in-law, Ray Flack, Seward; an uncle Harold Smeltzer and wife Bertha, Elizabethen, TN; and by her cousins Delores, David, Denise, Richard, Debbie, and Donald Smeltzer. She is also survived by many loving friends including Joe and Arlene Yackuboskey and family, Bill and Pat Eisneman and family, and shared a special friendship with Jude Yackuboskey. She is preceded by her parents, by her husband John in 1995, and by her only child Jackie Young-Flack in 2011. Friends will be received on Sunday from 4 to 7 P.M. at the Bowser-Minich Funeral Home, Indiana. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday at 10 A.M. at St. Bernard of Clairvaux R.C. Church, with the Rev. Fr. William Kiel the celebrant. Private interment will be made in the Oakland Cemetery between her husband and daughter. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, or to St. Bernard of Clairvaux RCIA program, Indiana, PA.
