Obituary

Donna "Jean" Fleming, age 74, of Dayton, formerly of Shelocta, died Thursday, June 16, 2011 at her home. She was born in 1936 in Shelocta, to William and Sarah Grace Miller Thomas. Mrs. Fleming was a homemaker and enjoyed ceramics, bowling, cards, board games, country music, Penn State Football. Her greatest passion was her devotion to her family. Donna is survived by her husband of 57 years Harold E. Fleming, Dayton; eight children, Debbie Bill and husband Alan, Lehigh, FL; Janet Walker and husband Larry, Rural Valley; Ricky Fleming and fiance Jan Yeany, State College; David Fleming and wife Donna, Templeton; Sharon Chelewski and husband David, Grand Junction, CO; Christine Fleming, Orlando, FL; Michael Fleming and wife Kristie, Templeton; Lisa Turney and husband Richard, Magnolia, NJ; 13 grandchildren; six great grandchildren; one brother and two sisters, Thomas M. Thomas and wife Sally, Freeport; Carol Kelly, DuBois; and June Cicola and husband John, Lower Burrell. She was preceded in death by her parents, by three brothers, James, Robert and William Thomas, and by two sisters-in-law, Joy Thomas Hangey and Joan Thomas. Friends will be received on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. at the Bowser-Minich Funeral Home, Indiana, where a funeral service will be held Monday at 11 A.M. with the Rev. Matthew Jones officiating. Interment will be made in the Greenwood Cemetery, Indiana. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Assoc., 100 West Station Square Dr., Suite 1900, Pittsburgh, PA 15219.
