Obituary

Donald A. Brady, 59, of Smicksburg, passed away with his family by his side on Thursday, July 17, 2014 at his home after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born in 1954 to Wendell C. and Mildred (Elkin) Brady in Indiana. He was a member of Plumville Presbyterian Church, Plumville. He was most recently employed at Zorkos in Home, PA. Don had such a special way of making people feel good. He had more friends than you could ever count and a family who meant the world to him. He was a blessing to so many people and he will be forever missed. Donald is survived by his mother Mildred Brady, Smicksburg; a sister Bonnie King and husband Rick, Indiana; a brother Barry Brady and Kim Dixon, Home; a nephew, Shane King; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He also had a special K9 nephew Nick. He was preceded in death by his father Wendell C. Brady in 1993 and a brother Ronnie Brady in 1977. Visitation will be on Sunday from 2-4 and 6-9 PM at the Bowser-Minich Funeral Home, Indiana. Visitation will also be held on Monday from 10 to 11:00 AM at the Grace United Methodist Church, Indiana, where a funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM. Burial will be in the Smicksburg Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to VNA/Hospice, 850 Hospital Road Suite 3000, Indiana, PA 15701 or the Plumville Presbyterian Church, P.O. Box 422, Plumville, PA 16246.
