Dennis W. "Sam" Kurtz, age 50 of Indiana, died Tuesday, September 19, 2017 at the Indiana Regional Medical Center.

He was born in 1967 in Indiana to Faye Ann Gormont Kurtz.

Sam enjoyed kayaking, going to the beach, spending time with his family, and watching the Pittsburgh Penguins.

He was employed as a transporter for North State Supply for the past seven years. He also managed "Just Ask Rental" in Indiana for more than 10 years.

Sam is survived by one daughter, Brittany Kurtz, Indiana; his mother of Indiana; two sisters, Debbie Kurtz Hook husband Bill, Lock Haven; Robin Kurtz Deems husband Tim, Greenville, SC; and one nephew, Dillon Deems. Girlfriend, Sarah Becker of Indiana.

He was preceded in death by his step-father Howard Wilson, and step-brother Tim Wilson.

Friends will be received on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. at the Bowser-Minich Funeral Home, Indiana. There will be no service and interment will be private.
