Delores A. Minich's Obituary

Delores A. Minich, age 81, of Home, died Wednesday, April 28, 2010 at the Indiana Regional Medical Center. She was born 1929 in St. Charles, PA to John Elmer and Dorothy Marie Honadle McClafferty. Delores was a former member of the Sacred Heart R. C. Church, along with the Altar Rosary Society. She is currently a member of St. Mary's R.C. Church, Yatesboro. She was homemaker, mother, and grandmother. She has resided in S. Mahoning Twp. since 1961. She enjoyed swimming, ice skating, card playing with family, cooking, baking, and making candy. Along with her husband Glenn, she was co-owner of the family farm in South Mahoning Twp. Delores is survived by three sons and three daughters, Dennis J. and wife Cheryl, Home; Debra Pennington and husband Ted, Beyer; Michael G. and wife Pamela, Indiana; Peggy Panico and husband Gary, Bradenton, FL; Karen L. Minich, Raleigh, NC; William J. and wife Tobi, Polkton, NC; 16 grandchildren; six great grandchildren; one sister Frances Comini and husband Ernest, Oil City; and by numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, by her husband Glenn E. on Nov. 3, 2009, by her son Patrick J. on August 10, 2007, and by two brothers and four sisters, William and Bernard McClafferty, Helen McCool, Louise Gill, Rita Shaffer, and Ruth Edwards Sloan. Friends will be received on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. at the Bowser-Minich funeral Home, Indiana. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday at 10 A.M. at St. Mary's R.C. Church, Yatesboro, with the Rev. Fr. Brian F. Summers the celebrant. Interment will be made in the Sacred Heart Cemetery, Sagamore. Memorial contributions may be made to Iacocca Foundation, 867 Boylston St. 6th Floor, Boston, MA 02116, to aid in the development of a cure for diabetes.
