Ceccoli, 75 of Indiana, formally of Hastings, passed away Wednesday July 4, 2012 at Alleghany General Hospital in Pittsburgh. He was born in 1936 to Gerimo and Mary (Toth) Ceccoli in Wilkes-Barre. Daniel was a member of St. Bernard Roman Catholic Church in Hastings, Knights of Columbus, Alhambra, Life member of PSEA and NEA. He played college football for Mansfield University while completing his undergraduate studies, He received his Masters degree from Scranton University and received his Doctorate Degree from Penn State University. Daniel retired as the Junior-Senior high school principal from the Glendale School District. During his retirement he helped various funeral homes in the Northern Cambria area. He enjoyed golf, working crossword puzzles, avid pet lover, spending time with family and good food. He is survived by his wife of almost 52 years whom he wed on July 9, 1960, Carolyn J. (Chubby) Sabella Ceccoli, Indiana, a daughter Angela M. Corte and husband Mark, Indiana; a sister Alice Nastawa and husband Frank, Toms River, NJ; a brother Jerry Ceccoli and wife Anna Marie, Soyerstown; sister-in-laws E. Honey Chervenak, Jennerstown; Tootsie Sabella, Northern Cambria; Dolores Hoover and husband Hal, Patton; Theresa Golias and husband John, Johnstown; a brother-in-law Joseph Januszko, Plains; numerous nieces and nephews; and special friends Silvo Corte, Mary and Ivan Yankivch, Albert and Louise Corte, Elsie Corte, Marcia, Mike, Alexi and Vince Belice, Cindy Stiffler and Lynn Newman all from Indiana. He was preceded in death by his parents, In-laws Romeo and Carmella Sabella, a brother John Ceccoli and a sister Lillian Januszko. Friends will be received on Sunday 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Bowser-Minich Funeral Home, Indiana. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday, their 52nd Wedding Anniversary at St. Thomas Moore University Parish, Indiana, at 10:00 AM with Father Michael Sikon celebrant.
