Obituary

Dan B. Sutherland, 64, of Saltsburg, (Iselin) passed away Sunday February 26, 2012 at his home with his family by his side. He was born in 1948 to Harold C. "Skip" Sutherland Jr. and Sallie J.(Newman) Sutherland in Greenville. Dan was a retired veteran of the Vietnam War serving in the United States Army in the 11th Armored Calvary in Vietnam and Cambodia. He was a member of Masonic Rose Hill Lodge 484, Columbus, GA; Life member of the American Legion Post 66, Clarion; National Rifle Association. Dan enjoyed hunting, fishing and shooting. He enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren and also his pets. Dan is survived by his wife Diana F. (McCormick) Sutherland, Saltsburg (Iselin); three daughters and two sons, J. Scott Corbin and wife Joyce, Vandergrift; Jacquelyn McIntyre-Frampton and husband Anthony, Indianopolis, IN; Robin Beatty and husband Robbie, Nowrytown; Christina Corbin, Saltsburg; Jason Boorech, Saltsburg; Seven grandchildren, An uncle, Thomas Sutherland and wife Cindy, Mercer. He was preceded in death by his parents. Visitation will be on Thursday from 6-8 PM at the Bowser-Minich Funeral Home, Indiana. A funeral service will be on Friday at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Interment will take place in Knox Union Cemetery, Knox.
