Obituary

Curtis D. (Curt) Williams, 55, of Ligonier, formerly of Smithport, went to be with the Lord, Wednesday, June 12, 2013 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born in 1958 to Delbert J. and Alda Jane (Elbel) Williams in Punxsutawney. Curtis was a member of the First Baptist Church of Glen Campbell, Calvary Baptist Church in Clymer and Waterford Christian Church, Ligonier. He was a district manager for Trican Well Services, Mill Hall and a former district manager for Universal Well Services, Connellsville. Curt was a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers and co-authored articles for the SPE Journal. He was a loving father, husband, brother, grandfather. Curt was a man of great spirit who dearly loved his family, enjoyed all that life offered, and never left a friend in need. He carried his faith as a shield through some of life's toughest battles, and he now rests peacefully in his Father's arms. He is survived by his beloved wife Carol Joy (Turnbull) Williams, Ligonier; loving children, daughter Cara (Williams) Salotti and husband Aaron; a son Cory Williams and wife Susan; step-son James Pease and wife Melissa; all of Indiana, step-son R. Joel Pease, Creekside; Grandchildren, "Miss Lil" Lilie Williams, "Monkey" Benjamin Pease, and Sharae Gilhousen; Four sisters, Tammy Conrad and husband Vince; Barb Trammel and husband Greg; Amy Williamson and husband Robert; Sybil Nichol and husband Alan; a brother Thomas Williams; mother and father-in-law James and Joyce Turnbull, Indiana; brother-in-law Ron Turnbull and wife Kathy, brother-in-law Rick Turnbull, numerous nieces and nephews, and special friends Milford and Kathy Lawson. He was preceded in death by his parents and niece Trisha Williams. Visitation will be on Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Bowser-Minich Funeral Home, Indiana. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday at 11:00 AM. with Rev. Dr. Allan Campbell. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery, Indiana.
