Courtney Nicole Wood, 31, of Pittsburgh, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, February 23, 2025. She was born on August 6, 1993, in Indiana to Albert F. Wood and Rebecca Ann (Gonos) Franco.

Courtney graduated from Indiana High School Class of 2011 and from the IUP Culinary Program in 2012. She worked as a chef in various restaurants and area hospitals. She enjoyed cooking, spending time with her family and friends as well as going on adventures.

She is survived by her parents, father Albert "Fred" Wood, of New Stanton, mother Rebecca (Daniel) Franco of NC; maternal grandfather Michael Gonos, Jr., of Indiana, sister Brittany (John) Shields of Indiana, sister Danielle (Jonathan) Kelley of Pittsburgh, brother Austin (Felicia) Wood of NC, sister Alexis Wood, brother Bracen Wood, sister Elizabeth Wood all of West Newton, former spouse Crystal Wood, godson Mylo, two cats Fat Fat and Valentino, several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and special friend Sabrina and daughter Anais.

Courtney is preceded in death by her daughter Khalani Anne Wood, maternal grandmother Nancy Gonos, paternal grandparents Margaret and Claude, Sr. Wood, as well as an Uncle Curt Wood.

Friends will be received by the family on Monday, March 3, 2025, in the Bowser Minich Funeral Home, from 11 AM until the time of service at 1PM.
