Obituary

Connie (Miner) Townley, age 73, of Homer City, died Saturday, August 13, 2011 at the Indiana Regional Medical Center. She was born in 1937 in Mayburg, to G. Edward and Gertrude E. Wilson Miner. Mrs. Townley was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church. She was employed as a cashier at BiLo Marker for 30 years until her retirement in 2000. Connie enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Connie is survived by one daughter and one son, Beth Strittmatter and husband Thomas, Indiana; Thomas Townley and wife Roni, Homer City; her daughter-in-law Diane Townley, NV; seven grandchildren, Christopher, Brandon and Nicholas Strittmatter; Paige, Robby, Halie and Devan Townley; and one sister Judy Shaffer, Tiona. She was preceded in death by her parents, by her husband Robert W. in 1984, by her son Timothy E. in 2006. Friends will be received on Tuesday from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 P.M. at the Bowser-Minich Funeral Home, Indiana, where a funeral service will be held Tuesday at 8 P.M. with Pastor Kathy Mihoerck officiating. Private interment will be made in the Greenwood Cemetery.
