Clyde L. Learn's Obituary

Clyde L. Learn, 93, passed away Saturday, April 3, 2010 at Indiana Regional Medical Center. He was born in 1916 to David E. and Effie (Kring) Learn in Indiana. Clyde was a member at Trinity United Methodist Church, Indiana. He enjoyed wood working, hunting and was a carpenter by trade. Clyde was a veteran of WWII serving in the Army Air Corps. He flew missions over China on the B-25 Bombers. He is survived by four daughters, Marie Roth, Natrona Heights; Delores Douglass and husband John, Indiana; Bonnie Gormisky and husband Paul, Pawleys Island, SC; Sally Helton and husband Jeffrey, Holly Pond, AL; four grandchildren Greg Douglass, Brenda Douglass, Jon Helton and wife Jenny, Joshua Helton and wife Aly; and one great grandson Dawson Helton; a sister Sarah Shaffer, Indiana; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Helen D. Learn whom he married November 4, 1947, a grandson Jacob Helton and a son-in-law Lou Roth. Friends will be received on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Additional visitation will be at the Trinity United Methodist Church, Indiana from 10 :00 AM to 11:00 AM, Where a funeral service will be held with Rev. Greg Golden and Pastor Jeff Helton officiating. Interment will be made 2:30 PM Friday with Military honors at the Mt. Airy Cemetery, Natrona Heights.
