Obituary

Cecil R. Williams, age 83, of Creekside, died Thursday, June 29, 2012 at Communities at Indian Haven. She was born in 1928 in Pittsburgh, to Joseph M. and Margaret A. Russell Williams. Ms. Williams was a member of the St. James AME Zion Church, Indiana. She was employed as a housekeeper at Indian Haven for 40 years. Cecil enjoyed sewing and embroidering. Cecil is survived by two daughters, Sylvia J. Williams and husband Raymond, Pittsburgh; Eleanor Kelly and husband Reggie, Pittsburgh; five grandchildren, Anthony P., Carol A., and Andre S. Williams, all of Pittsburgh; Drew J. Shields, Pittsburgh; Ashley N. Smith, Pittsburgh; six great grandchildren, Faye, Synthia, Joseph, Mark, Racine, Amari; seven great great grandchildren; two sisters and four brothers, Sylvia Powell and husband Harry, Pittsburgh; Margaret Boxley and husband Joseph, Las Vegas, NV; Vincent Williams, Pittsburgh; Sameul Williams and wife Edna, Las Vegas, NV; David Williams and wife Sandra, Creekside; Thomas Williams and wife Darlene, Creekside. She was preceded in death by her parents, and by three brothers, Mark, Peter, and Leo Williams. Friends and family are invited to attend a memorial service on Saturday July 7, 2012 at 11 A.M. at the St. James AME Zion Church, Indiana, with the Rev. Hubert Redd officiating. The Bowser-Minich Funeral Home, Indiana, has been entrusted with the arrangements.
