Obituary

Catherine E. Stercho, 103, of Indiana, formerly of McIntyre, passed away on Friday May 2, 2014. She was born in 1910 to Jackob and Mary Setlock in Rathmel, Jefferson County, PA. Catherine was a member of the Church of the Good Shepherd, Kent, where she was active in the Holy Name Society. She was also a member of the McIntyre Senior Citizens. She enjoyed crocheting, quilting, sewing, and spending time with family and friends. She is survived by a son - John C. Stercho and wife Helen, Derry; five grandchildren - Cheryl Lazor, William A. Receski, John M. Stercho, Doug Stercho and Scott Stercho; 10 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild; a brother - James "Vern" Setlock, MI; and a son-in-law - William Receski, Indiana. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband - John C. Stercho in 1977, a daughter - Jean Receski, two brothers - Todd and Andrew Setlock, and four sisters - Stella Mazola, Ann Setlock, Antionette Rakicsak and Beatrice Maleske. Visitation will be on Sunday from 3-7 PM at the Bowser-Minich Funeral Home, Indiana. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday at 11:00 AM at the Church of the Good Shepherd, Kent. Burial will be in St. Bernard Cemetery.
