Obituary

Catherine Pauline Park, age 82, of Creekside, died Friday, January 13, 2012 at the Indiana Regional Medical Center. She was born in 1929 in Washington Twp., to Brian and Mildred Bailey Orr, Mrs. Park was a lifelong member of the Harmony Grove Lutheran Church, Five Points. She was employed by the Marion Center Area School District in food service at the former Creekside-Washington Elementary School for 32 years. Prior to that, she was employed for six years as a custodian at the Allison one room school house in Washington Twp. In additional to her work with the school district, Pauline and Earl's true love was working the family farm, where they lived their entire life. She also enjoyed crafts, antiques, vegetable and flower gardening. She appreciated her family and friends. Pauline, as she was known for most of her life, is survived by one daughter, Nancy Gardner and husband Gary, Somers CT; four grandchildren, Maria Cooper and husband Robert, Johnstown, NY; Samantha Moretti, Stafford, CT; Tracey Robinson and husband Michael, Simsbury, CT; Steve Gardner and wife Michelle, Tolland, CT; eight great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren; two sisters and three brothers, Martha Parks and husband Wayne, Creekside; Carolyn Weston, Indiana; Wayne Orr and wife Myrna, Creekside; Darl Orr and wife Margaret, Creekside; Roger Orr, Las Cruces, NM. Not to be overlooked, she is also survived by two special nephews, Denny Park and wife Ann, David Orr and wife Beth, and by two special caregivers, Gladys Gray and Cindy Bernard and husband Denny. She was preceded in death by her parents, by her husband R. Earl Park in 2009, and by eight siblings, Ruby, Paul, Ear Dean, LaVern, Jolene, Margaret, Jim, and Bernice. Friends will be received on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. at the Bowser-Minich Funeral Home, Indiana. A funeral service will be held Saturday at 11 A.M. at the Harmony Grove Lutheran Church with the Rev. David Wasemann officiating. Interment will be made in the Harmony Grove Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Harmony Grove Lutheran Church, Five Points Rd., Creekside, PA 15732.
