Catherine D. (Ferra) Blose , age 92, of Shelocta, died Saturday, May 26, 2018 at her home. She was born in 1925 in Punxsutawney to Carmen and Carmella Cappella Ferra.

Catherine was a homemaker as well as a part-time florist for Ken Cramer. In her spare time, she enjoyed painting as well as crocheting.

Mrs. Blose was a member of St. Bernard of Clairvaux Catholic Church as well as its Catholic Daughters of America.

She is survived by two daughters - Lucinda Hughes and husband; William and Carmella Sherry and husband Paul; four grandsons, seven great grandchildren, sister Connie Esposito, Punxsutawney; and one brother, Carmen Ferra and wife Babe, Punxsutawney.

Catherine was preceded in death by her husband John G. Blose in 1998, by two sisters - Theresa Bianco and Marie Candiotti and by four brothers - John, Gene, and Donald, and Donnie Ferra.

Funeral services will be private under the direction of the Bowser-Minich Funeral Home, Indiana. Interment will be made in St. Bernard Cemetery.
