Obituary

Carol Lee Curey, age 71, of Indiana, died Wednesday, February 20, 2013 at Communities of Indian Haven. She was born in 1941 in New York, NY to Robert and Marie Dongell. Carol earned her BA and BSN degrees at IUP and her MSN at the University of Pittsburgh. She was employed as a Nurse Administrator first as Director of the School of Nursing at the Indiana Regional Medical Center, and later in Quality Assurance. She enjoyed family, music, travel, and reading. Carol is survived by her husband Bob Curey, Indiana; son Theodore Curey and wife Mary Jane; two grandchildren, Bryce and Claire, all of Madison, NJ; brother, Edward Dongell and wife Lynn, Cresson; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, from Florida to New York state. She was preceded in death by her parents, and by her brother Robert Dongell, MD. Friends willl be received on Saturday, April 13, 2013 from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. at the Rustic Lodge, Indiana, where a memorial service will begin at 11 a.m. A reception will immediately follow the service. The family would like to thank the staff and administration at Indian Haven who provided Carol with love and care through a long and difficult illness.
