Carmella M. Gary, age 91, of McIntyre, PA died Sunday, August 19, 2018.

The daughter of Bruno and Rose Machak Maruca, she was born in 1927 in Indiana.

Carmella received her degree of Registered Nurse from Indiana Hospital School of Nursing. Her devotion and dedication to the chosen field of nursing of over 40 years had a major impact on many people who knew and loved her. She worked at Indiana Hospital, Torrance State Hospital, and Indian Haven Nursing Home.

Being with her family is what "Carrie" enjoyed most of all. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed preparing meals for her family and friends.

Mum, you have given so much and asked for so little in return. Thank you for always being there for us, for teaching us, listening to us, helping and forgiving us, loving us, and always paving the way for us. We will work hard to reach the standard you set.

You were simply magnificent .

Survived are two daughters - Bernadette Moskal and husband Edward, Rebecca Burkart and husband Ralph; two grandchildren - grandson, Aaron Burkart and fiancée' Danielle, granddaughter, Megan Schmidt and husband Bryan; one brother, John Maruca and wife Eileen of Blairsville, and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Christopher Paul and daughter Rosemary Elizabeth. Three brothers - Albert, Francis, and Joseph Maruca. Three sisters - Kathryn Montgomery, Jessie Aloise, and Alberta Slupek.

She was a member of the Church of the Good Shepherd in Kent, PA.

A funeral mass will be held at the Church of the Good Shepherd, Kent, PA.

Private interment will be made in the St Bernard's Cemetery Indiana, PA.
