Obituary

C. Lucille Stake, age 89, of Indiana, died Saturday, July 16, 2011 at Providence Park Hospital, Novi, MI. She was born in 1922 in Indiana, to Merle and Clara McQuown Bair. Mrs. Stake was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church, Indiana. Lucille was a homemaker, and avid sewer, quilter, and crocheted. Lucille is survived by one son and one daughter, Darl Stake and wife wife Libby, Nowrytown; Carol Galonis, Northville, MI; five grandchildren, Catherine Jones and husband Michael, Northville, MI; Frank Galonis, Lapeer, MI; Rebecca Galonis, Wyandotte, MI; Connie Gizzi and husband Ronald, Nowrytown; D. Wayne Durand, New Market, MD; seven great grandchildren, Craig, Cory, and Brianna Clawson; Hannah and Mikey Jones; Joanna Galonis, and Julie Knapp. She was preceded in death by her parents, by her husband Carl Reed Stake on May 5, 2011, whom she married on November 1, 1947, by one brother and two sisters, Paul Bair, Jean Calhoun, and Dorothy Loar. Friends will be received on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M. at the Bowser-Minich Funeral Home, Indiana, where a funeral service will be held Friday at 11 A.M. with the Rev. Greg Golden officiating. Interment will be made in the Oakland Cemetery.
