Obituary

Clark T. "Tom" Marshall, age 92, of Smicksburg died Sunday, April 6, 2014 at the Indiana Regional Medical Center. He was born in 1921 in his current home in South Mahoning Twp. to John M. and Lauretta Wells Marshall. Mr. Marshall was an active member of the Presbyterian Church of Plumville where he served as a Sunday School Teacher, Deacon, Elder, and Custodian. Tom was also a member of the ALERT LODGE #936-IOOF He was self-employed as a farmer, school bus driver for Marion Center School District, where he also served on the school board. He was also a materials inspector for PennDOT for 17 years. Tom is survived by two sons and one daughter, Randy and wife Shirley, Smicksburg; Daniel and wife Patricia, Pen Argyl; Lori Hillard and husband Mark, Aylett, VA; six grandchildren, Daniel Marshall and wife Jill, Scott Marshall and wife Lynne, Eric Marshall, Tina Mulitsch, Natalie English and husband Matt, and Nicole Hillard; five great grandchildren, Emily, Alan and Lance Mulitsch, Alexa English, Linzie Marshall; one sister, Nancy Daunce, State College. He was preceded in death by his parents, by his wife of 61 years Ruth Raraigh Marshall in 2010, one brother and two sisters, John C. Marshall, Louise Worthley, and Eva Jane Fry. Friends will be received on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 P.M. at the Bowser-Minich Funeral Home, Indiana. A funeral service will be held on Thursday at 11 A.M. at the Presbyterian Church, Plumville, with the Rev. Kathryn Ward-Stear and Pastor Kathy Mihoerck officiating. Interment will be made in the Smicksburg Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Presbyterian Church of Plumville, PO Box 422, Plumville, PA 16246.
