Brenton Allan Mauk's Obituary

Brenton A. Mauk, 19, of Bear, Delaware, passed away on October 23, 2014. He was born in 1994 to Russell and Leesa (Aitken) Mauk near Tampa, FL. He attended Love of Christ Church, Bear, DE. He was a Christian who recommitted his life to Jesus prior to leaving us. Brent loved skateboarding, hunting, fishing, archery, gardening, animals, and writing songs. Brent's last three years were dealt with an inoperable brainstem tumor. Brent is survived by his parents, his brother - Russell A. Mauk II, Bear, DE; paternal grandparents - Russell L. Mauk and wife Susan, Punxsutawney; maternal grandparents - Ronald Aitken and wife Connie, Monongahela; Gillian Young, New Eagle; the following aunts and uncles - Gil and Mary Jo Martinez, Mark and Becky Mastro, Alex and Diane Mauk, and Ronald Aitken. He was preceded in death by his grandmother - Isabel Mauk and grandfather - Norman Young and an uncle - Tony Mauk. Visitation will be on Friday from 6-8 PM and also on Saturday at the Bowser-Minich Funeral Home, Indiana where a funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM. Burial will be in Zion Cemetery, Porter, PA (Jefferson County). In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Brenton Allan Mauk Brain Stem Tumor Fund, Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, 34th Street and Civic Center Blvd, Philadelphia, PA 19104.
