Obituary

Brenda R. Kirk-Heberling, age 40, of Home went to be with Jesus on Tuesday, April 22, 2014, at Magee Women's Hospital of UPMC, Pittsburgh. She was born in 1973 in Indiana to Daniel J. and Deborah Caprino-Kirk. Brenda was a member of the Old Mahoning Baptist Church, Home, and was active with the Ladies' Bible Study. She was a 1991 graduate of Marion Center High School and the Indiana Co Vo-Tech Cosmetology School. She was also a 1992 graduate of the Pittsburgh Beauty Academy, Cosmetology Teacher Degree. She practiced cosmetology from 1992 to 2003 in the Indiana and Clymer areas. In 2003 she gave up her career to care for her children, which was her passion. She absolutely loved and was proud of the ongoing life style of running from one sport to another supporting her children year round. Brenda was a 2006 Breast Cancer survivor. In 2011, Brenda returned to school at CRBC to begin a new life for her kids. In 2012, she had to withdraw due to her second diagnosis of cancer. Brenda is survived by three children, Brandon, Brooke, and Bradey Heberling, all of Home; the children's father John R. Heberling, Home; her parents of Home; one sister and one brother, Danielle Park and husband Chad, Creekside; James Kirk and wife Jackie, Oakview, CA; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. She is also survived by a special friend and cousin, Dixie McClure and husband Russell, Marion Center. She was preceded in death by her parental grandparents, Fred and Marybelle Kirk, by her maternal grandparents Guy and Adell Caprino, and by several uncles and cousins. Friends will be received on Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 P.M. at the Old Mahoning Baptist Church, 5225 Mahoning Rd., Home, PA 15747, and on Saturday from 11 A.M. to 1 P.M., where a funeral service will begin at 1 P.M. with Pastor Micah McMillen officiating. Interment will be made in the church Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Bowser-Minich Funeral Home, Indiana. Memorial contributions may be made to Magee Women's Hospital of UPMC, 300 Halkett St., Pittsburgh, PA 15213.
