Obituary

Bonnie Lou Ballas, age 67, of Indiana, passed away Friday, July 8, 2011 at Conemaugh Memorial Hospital, Johnstown. She was born in 1944 in Bolivar, to Charles and Martha Short Muir. Mrs. Ballas was a member of the Church of the Good Shepherd, Kent, where she was active serving church dinners and landscaping church grounds with her husband. She was a homemaker and enjoyed camping with her family. Bonnie is survived by her husband Frank, Indiana; her mother of Bolivar, one son and one daughter, Chris and wife Susan, Indiana; Wendy Bailey and husband Joe, Sykesville, MD; two grandchildren, Charles and Benjamin; one sister, Elaine Closson and husband Ray, Bolivar; one brother John and wife Rose, Bolivar; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father. Friends will be received on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. at the Bowser-Minich Funeral Home, Indiana. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 11 A.M. at the Church of the Good Shepherd, Kent, with the Rev. Fr. Charles Esposito the celebrant. Interment will be made in the Iselin Union Cemetery.
