Obituary

Betty Jean Hanna, age 89, of Indiana, died Thursday, February 7, 2013 at Beacon Ridge Nursing Home. She was born in 1923 in Cookport to O. Blair Henry, Sr., and Mary Learn Henry. Mrs. Hanna was a member of the Ernest Bible Church where she was active in the ladies group. She was employed as a seamstress at Campus Sportswear and King Leather, and as a sales clerk at Troutman's Dept. Store Betty enjoyed reading and crossword puzzles. She is survived by one daughter and one son, Patricia L. Hanna, Indiana; Jack B. Hanna and wife JoAnn, Tonopaha, AZ; two grandchildren, Wendy LaPlaca and husband Lenny, and Matthew Hanna; two great grandchildren, Angelina LaPlaca and Logan Hanna; five sisters, Etta Jane Hull, Indiana; Wanita Brown, Stow, OH; Kathleen Ferrier and husband James, Bunea, NJ; Athelda Ickes and husband Jerry, Monroe Falls, OH; Audrey Lazanic, Indiana; one brother, Howard Henry and wife Thelma, Indiana. She was preceded in death by her parents, by an infant brother and sister, and by one sister and one brother, Rosalien Ensminger and O. Blair Henry, Jr. Friends will be received on Monday from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 P.M. at the Bowser-Minich Funeral Home, Indiana, where a funeral service will be held Tuesday at 11 A.M. with the Rev. John Sykes officiating. Private interment will be made in the Oakland Cemetery.
