Obituary

Bernard E. (Bernie) Smith, 84, of Indiana, passed away Friday, May 31, 2013 at Scenery Hill Manor. He was born in 1929 to Edward F. and Naomi L (Tusing) Smith in Arnold. Bernie was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Clymer. He was a deacon for several years. He served in the United States Army. Bernie enjoyed playing softball. He is survived by his wife Jean Smith, Indiana; two daughters and two sons, Lou Ann Hall and husband Donnie, Viper, KY; Kenneth Smith and wife Carol, Milton, FL; Don Smith and wife Tempie, Clinton, UT; Joyce Bryant and husband Ronald Bryant Jr., Maysville, KY; Seven grandchildren, three great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers John and Richard Smith. Visitation will be on Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM and from 10-11 AM Monday at the Bowser-Minich Funeral Home, Indiana. A funeral service will be held on Monday at 11:00 AM at the funeral home with Dr. Daryl Jeffers officiating. Graveside services will be at 2:00 PM in Greenwood Memorial Park, Lower Burrell.
