Obituary

Beatrice E. "Betty" Steffenino, 94, of Homer City, passed away Tuesday, May 14, 2013 at St. Andrew's Village. She was born in 1916 to Edward and Eva Zacherl Selker in Paint Twp., Clarion Co. Betty was a member of the Church of the Good Shepherd, Kent, and the Clarksburg/Iselin Quilters. She is survived by one son and one daughter, Catherine J. Miller and husband Dan, Salem Twp., John E. Steffenino and wife Martha, Greensburg; two grandsons and a granddaughter, David D. Miller and wife Stephanie, Centerville; Gregory M. Miller and wife Melissa, Memphis TN; Isabella B. Steffenino, Greensburg. Betty was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother, who always placed everyone's needs before her own. She was preceded in death by her parents, by her husband Jack Steffenino in 2012, and by the following siblings, Augustine, Joseph, Edward, and James Selker, and Stella Guetthoff. . Friends will be received on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Bowser-Minich Funeral Home, Indiana. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday at 11 AM at the Church of the Good Shepherd, Kent, with Rev. Fr. Charles Esposito, the celebrant. Burial will take place in the Iselin Union Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Aquinas Academy, Greensburg, PA; or to a charity of the donor's choice.
