Obituary

Barbara I. (Srock) Shaffer, age 69, of Indiana, passed away Thursday, January 24, 2013 at her home. She was born 1943 in Latrobe, to Ernest and Myrtle Freas Srock. Barbara was an LPN and was employed by various doctors, Indian Haven, and spent her last 20 years at Indiana Walk-in Clinic, retiring in 2007. During retirement she enjoyed being with friends, reading and gaming. Barbara is survived by her husband of 49 years, William C. Shaffer, Jr., Indiana; one son and one daughter, Mike Shaffer and his iwfe Kim, Indiana; Stephanie Pappal and husband Mike, Ft. Riley, KS; three grandchildren; one sister Janet McFate and husband Gary, Indiana; one brother, John Srock and wife Barbara, Reynoldsville. She was preceded in death by her parents, and by two brothers James and Ernest Srock. Services and interment will be private and held at the convenience of the family. Bowser-Minich Funeral Home, Indiana, has been entrusted with arrangements.
