Obituary

Barbara Ann Schnarrs, 76, of Indiana, passed away Thursday, July 11, 2013 at her home. She was born in 1937 to John and Edith (Bell) Taylor in Phillipsburg. Barb was a member at Grace United Methodist Church, Indiana. She also was a very good cook, enjoying especially the preparation of ethnic food. She was an avid reader of fictional books and stories. She was a lover of animals and had pets her entire life, and cared for wild creatures near her home. Barb was a devoted mother to her entire family, especially her late son Bradley, which led her into volunteer work with special-needs children. She is survived by her husband of 56 years Ken L. Schnarrs, Indiana; a son Jeffrey T. Schnarrs, Pittsburgh; a daughter Karla A. German and husband Steven, Philadelphia; two grandsons, Phillip Schnarrs, Austin, TX; and Bryan German, Philadelphia; a sister Gail Hudson, Harrisburg; a brother in law, Robert Schnarrs and his wife Georgiana Harrisburg, nieces Stacy, Laurie and Amy and nephews Richie and Robert. She was preceded in death by her parents, a son Bradley A Schnarrs, a brother Frank Taylor, and nephew Tim Schnarrs. Visitation will be on Monday 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Bowser-Minich Funeral Home, Indiana. A funeral service will be held Tuesday at 10:00 AM at the Bowser-Minich Funeral Home, Indiana, with the Pastor Dennis Marshall officiating. Burial will be in Grandview Cemetery, Morrisdale. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Grace United Methodist Church, the Association for Retarded Citizens or The V.N.A. Hospice Program.
