Obituary

Anthony (Tony) J. Campitella, 82, of Kent, passed away Monday, May 20, 2013 at Mount Vernon of Elizabeth Assisted Living. He was born in 1930 to Anthony and Rose (Borrelli) Campitella in Saltsburg. Tony was a member of Church of the Good Shepherd, He was retired after 34 years from Westinghouse as a production planner. Tony was an avid gardener and enjoyed passing out vegetables from his garden to all of his friends and family. He liked visiting various casinos, polka dancing, eating sweets, and spending time with his family and grandchildren. Anthony would like to be remembered as a very well liked, generous and gentle hearted man who would help family and friends anytime they needed him. He is survived by a son Brian Campitella and wife Eva, Murrysville; a grandson Anthony Campitella, wife Ashlie and great grandson Tristan, York; a granddaughter Stephanie Campitella, Spring Church; four sisters, Eleanor Palmiscino, Slickville; Emily Palmiscino, Perrysville; Elsie Cummings, Madison, AL; Jean Adams, Parma, OH; a brother Donald Campitella, Eightyfour; numerous nieces and nephews and three step-granddaughters, Christine Flowers, Vanessa Molnar and Angelina Molnar. He was preceded by his parents, wife Elizabeth (Betty) M. Campitella in 2004, two brothers Robert and Rocco (Moe) Campitella. Visitation will be on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Bowser-Minich Funeral Home, Indiana, A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday at 11:00 AM at the Church of the Good Shepherd, Kent. Burial will be in the St. Bernard Cemetery, Indiana. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Heartland Home Care and Hospice, 750 Holiday Drive, Foster Plaza, Suite 110,Pittsburgh, PA 15220.
