Obituary

Anna Bell I. Elkin, 85, of Indiana, passed away with her loving family around her, Monday, September 12, 2011. She was born in 1925 to Glenn E. and Grace S. (Buchanan) McQuiston in Indiana County. Anna Bell was a member of Zion Lutheran Church for 55 years. She volunteered for the church bazaars. She enjoyed traveling with her husband and visited all 50 states. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She is survived by three sons and three daughters, Ruby Moore, Pittsburgh; Diane Campbell and husband Ray, Indiana; Dennis Elkin, Charlottesville, VA; Roger Elkin and wife Mel, Roanoke, VA; Gary Elkin and wife Darla, The Woodland, TX; and Karen Kern and husband Donald, West Chester, PA. Numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; a brother Theodore McQuiston, Sholocta, PA; a sister Marylee Stahlman, Home, PA and special friends Jim and Sandi Chestnut. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband R. Darl Elkin in 2009, their daughter Darlene Barrett, two brothers, Dwight and Kenneth McQuiston Visitation will be on Thursday from 1:00 to 2:00PM at the Bowser-Minich Funeral Home, Indiana, where a funeral service will begin at 2:00 PM with Pastor Brian Miller and Julie Walz officiating. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
