Obituary

Ann Vuckovich, age 91, of Coal Run, died Sunday, October 28, 2012 at Beacon Ridge Nursing Home. She was born in 1921 in Aultman to Charles and Anna Batik Pasternak. Mrs. Vuckovich was a long-time member of Holy Cross Byzantine Catholic Church, Coal Run. She was a homemaker and was also employed as a nurses aid at Torrance State Hospital, and at IUP in the athletic department. She loved cooking, caring for her home, and loving her family. Ann is survived by one son and one daughter, Carol Vuckovich, Indiana; Jerry and wife Bonnie, Indiana; her daughter-in-law Judith A. Vuckovich, Indiana; three grandsons, Nicholas and wife Amanda, Clarksburg; Chad and wife Julia, Mars; Mark, Naples, FL; one great grandson Walter James, and one great granddaughter Reese Marie; two sisters, Maria Sabolovich, Coal Run; Katherine Zayachak, CA. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Fred Vuckovich in 1973, by her son Walter S. Vuckovich in 1998, and by one sister and three brothers, Sophia Bananto, Michael, Stephen, John Pasternak. Friends will be received on Wednesday from 4 to 8 P.M. at the Bowser-Minich Funeral Home, Indiana, where a funeral service will be held Thursday at 10 A.M. with the Rev. Fr. George Knatko officiating. Interment will be made in the Oakland Cemetery, Indiana.
