Obituary

Angeline T. Geletka, age 94, Indiana, died Thursday, March 28, 2013 at Jefferson Hills Manor, Jefferson Hills, PA. She was born in 1918 in Lucernemines, to Pasquale and Marie Mondi Abbate Fafone. Mrs. Geletka was a member of St. Bernard of Clairvaux R.C. Church, Indiana, the Indiana Hospital Alumni Assoc., and PA Nursing Assoc. After graduating from Indiana Public School, she graduated from Indiana Hospital School of Nursing in 1940, and earned her BS in nursing from the University of Pittsburgh in 1951. She also received her Master's in counseling from IUP in 1969. She was an instructor first at Indiana Hospital for 6 years, and then an instructor and psychiatric nurse at Torrance State Hospital for 21 years until her retirement in 1979. Angeline is survived by her sister Rose Ravasio, Monongahela; and by the following nieces and nephews, Christine Jones and husband Frederick, Joseph Ravasio, Robert Ravasio, Patricia Walker and husband Bob, Bernadette Stager and husband Michael, Thomas Ravasio and wife Karen, James Ravasio and wife Marcia, John Ravasio, and Donald Ravasio and wife Kristin. She was preceded in death by her parents, by her husband Albert G. Geletka in 1989, and by the following siblings, Mary Valenti, Carmela Gullifa, Josephine Antonuccio, Rev. Fr. Joseph L. Abbate, Robert Fafone, Dorothy Ingoglia, and Sr. Joseph Angela, C.S.J. Friends and family are invited to attend a Memorial mass at St. Anthony R.C. Church. Monongahela at a date to be determined.
