Alma Ruth McCreary passed away on February 28, 2024, at the Maple Valley Personal Care Home in Indiana, PA.

The daughter of Victor and Hazel McDunn, she was born on March 28, 1936, in Coal Port, PA. The family moved to Turtle Creek, PA where Alma spent her toddler and teenage years. She graduated from Turtle Creek High School in 1955.

On February 6, 1956, she married the love of her life, Robert (Bob) McCreary, after first meeting him at the Mahaffey Church Camp. They shared their lives with 6 wonderful children, 5 boys and one girl.

Alma enjoyed traveling, camping, sewing, and spending time with her family. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, who always had time to help her family.

She will be missed by all whose lives that she touched.

Alma is survived by her children Tim McCreary (Lori) of Cody, WY, Rick McCreary (Sue) of Gillette, WY, Karen McCreary of White Sulphur Springs, WV, Donald McCreary of Moorcroft, WY, and John McCreary (Cynthia) of Ashland, VA, as well as 11 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, husband Robert Sr., son Robert Jr., and daughter-in-law Trena (Donald).

The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 2, 2024, in the Bowser-Minich Funeral Home, Indiana, from 11 AM until the time of service at 1 PM, with Pastor Kathy Mihoerck officiating. Interment will follow in the Oakland Cemetery, Indiana.
